It is our pleasure to announce that our cadet/student, Mia Garcia, has been selected for an NROTC scholarship at the University of New Mexico. After college, Mia will serve 5 years as a commissioned officer in the United States Navy, where she intends to volunteer for submarines.

Plainview ISD will be closed starting Monday, December 25th through January 8th for Winter Break! We will welcome everyone back on Tuesday, January 9th!

PHS and PCHS Juniors and Seniors received their Senior rings in a Ring Ceremony at the PHS auditorium on Tuesday. Herff Jones and West Texas Graduation Services organize this annual event that allows students to receive their class ring in anticipation of graduation.

Plainview ISD was recognized by Summit K12 as a 2022-23 Connect to Literacy District of the Year finalist as a result of the work being done with our emergent bilingual students. At the regularly scheduled school board meeting on Thursday, the school board recognized the following staff who work with the emergent bilingual students.

Student-led conferences at South Elementary had a great turnout as Pre-K students shared what they are learning with their parents. These students are part of the Bulldog Class of 2037!











Varsity Boys Soccer scored early and often in their final scrimmage against Lubbock Liberty last night. Their first game will be January 2nd at 6:30.

Congratulations to 1997 Plainview graduates Seth Parr and Efrain Ramos on winning the Class 4A Division 1 state football championship this afternoon. Parr is the head coach at Anna (located about 50 miles north of Dallas) and Ramos is one of the assistant coaches.


Excitement at North Elementary as our prekindergarten students engaged parents in the student-led conferences. Students shared what they are learning in two languages. This pk bilingual scholars are our Plainview ISD 2037 future graduates!”

Our Pre-Kindergarten students rock! They hosted the student-led conferences with their parents to showcase their learning. They did a great job and their parents enjoyed seeing all that they are learning.

You better watch out; Santa Claus is coming to North Elementary!
Santa spread Christmas cheer at Plainview North Elementary School this morning. Students had their picture made while they sat in Santa's lap and shared their Christmas wish.
