🎓Amberlyn Castillo is preparing to embark on an exciting journey at Texas Tech University, where she plans to major in Nursing. With aspirations of becoming an oncology nurse, Amberlyn’s goal is not only to make a difference in the lives of her patients but also to travel the world, broadening her perspective and helping people globally. Reflecting on her time at PCHS, Amberlyn credits Mrs. Cook as the most influential person in her life. Mrs. Cook’s positivity, kindness, and willingness to help had a profound impact on Amberlyn, shaping her approach to life and others. Amberlyn recalls fond memories of bus rides to and from football and sports games, moments filled with camaraderie and school spirit that will stay with her. As she leaves high school behind, Amberlyn will miss the fun activities, the sense of belonging in extracurriculars, and the friendships that she’s built. These experiences, however, are part of the legacy she wishes to leave behind. Amberlyn hopes to be remembered for her kindness and her ability to uplift others, even on days when things weren't going her way. Her favorite quote is from Matthew 19:26, "with God all things are possible."
🎓Joshua Ramirez is preparing for an exciting future as he heads to Texas Tech University to pursue a major in Sports Physical Therapy. With plans to work in a major city where there is a demand for sports physical therapy, Joshua is determined to make a significant impact in the world of sports rehabilitation. During his time at PCHS, the person who had the greatest positive impact on Joshua was Mr. Carthel. His unwavering support and dedication made him Joshua's favorite teacher, leaving a lasting influence on his academic journey and personal growth. When reflecting on his high school experiences, Joshua's best memory undoubtedly centers around playing football on Friday nights. The excitement, teamwork, and camaraderie of those games will forever remain a cherished part of his high school years. As he prepares to leave high school behind, Joshua will miss the friendships he’s formed and the routines that have shaped his daily life. These connections and experiences have been integral to his growth during these formative years. Joshua hopes his legacy will reflect his hard work and commitment to helping others. He wants to be remembered as someone who consistently put in the effort and made a positive difference in the lives of those around him. His favorite quote, "Limits only exist in your mind" (unknown), perfectly captures his mindset as he moves forward: no obstacle is too great when you believe in your ability to overcome it.
🌟🎉Amberlyn and Joshua’s futures are bright, and their legacy is sure to be one of perseverance, support, and dedication to others.🎉🌟

✨🎊As the final days of high school unfold, we are excited to celebrate the accomplishments of two more PCHS graduates, Landri Nelson and Aden Alarcon.✨🎊
🎓Landri Nelson will be attending Texas Tech University where she plans to major in Biology, setting her on a path to become a Physician Assistant (PA). Her hard work and passion for helping others have driven her toward this ambitious goal. During her time at PCHS, Landri has made lasting memories, with her best being the sophomore year choir trip to Colorado. Throughout high school, she has been inspired by those around her, especially Mr. Cathel, who has always been there to offer advice, help, and support when she needed it most. When reflecting on her legacy, Landri hopes to be remembered as someone who was a hard worker and someone who never gave up—always showing others the importance of persistence and determination. She wants her legacy to leave a lasting imprint on the world through her accomplishments and the character she displayed. When initially asked her favorite quote, Landri recited a scene from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, as it reflects her belief in the importance of facing challenges head-on, no matter the obstacles. In the words of Harry Potter: "Once I make my move, the queen will take me. Then you're free to check the king. No, Ron, No! What is it? He's going to sacrifice himself. No, you can't! There has to be another way! Do you want to stop Snape from getting the stone or not? Harry, it's you that has to go on. Not me, not Hermione, you." Another guiding principle is her favorite Bible verse, Matthew 6:33, reads: "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
🎓Aden Alarcon plans to attend either the University of Texas at Austin or Johns Hopkins University, and he is committed to pursuing a degree in Biology on the pre-med path. His ultimate goal is to attend medical school to train as either a cardiothoracic surgeon or a general surgeon. Aden's vision extends beyond his education; he dreams of improving public health by making healthcare more accessible, especially for underserved communities and uninsured patients, ensuring everyone has access to high-quality care. Throughout his journey at PCHS, Aden has been shaped by the guidance and encouragement of those around him. Mrs. Cook, in particular, has had the greatest positive impact on Aden’s life. From his early days as a shy freshman to his current role as chapter president of HOSA, Mrs. Cook has been a constant source of support, pushing him to grow and believe in his potential. Her influence has been instrumental in Aden’s personal development, and he credits her with helping him become the confident, determined individual he is today. When reflecting on his high school memories, one event stands out for Aden: attending the Texas Association of Student Councils (TASC) State Conference each year. These conferences, filled with leadership opportunities and moments of personal growth, became a highlight of his high school experience. In his junior year, he ran for State Secretary, an experience that challenged him and deepened his commitment to service. These conferences not only shaped his leadership abilities but also strengthened his bond with friends and mentors who supported him along the way. When it comes to what he will miss most about high school, Aden highlights the incredible opportunities and support he received. From growth in various organizations to the encouragement from teachers like Mrs. Powers, Ms. Lynn, and Ms. Sanchez. Aden cherishes the experiences that have shaped his high school years. Aden’s wants his legacy to be one of meaningful impact. He hopes to be remembered for inspiring others to grow, lead, and believe in their own potential. Through his dedication to service and his commitment to creating spaces where everyone feels valued, Aden aspires to leave behind a lasting impression of compassion and support. One of Aden’s guiding principles is encapsulated in his favorite quote, from II Corinthians 9:8: "Moreover, God is able to make every grace abundant for you, so that in all things, always having all you need, you may have an abundance for every good work." This verse reflects his belief in the power of grace and the importance of serving others with abundance.
✨🎊As Landri and Aden prepare to embark on their next journey, we have no doubt that they will continue to lead with purpose, inspire those around them, and make a lasting impact on the world. We know they are destined for greatness, and we’re proud to have been part of their journey. Best of luck, Landri and Aden, as you embark on this exciting new chapter!✨🎊

🎓Keelie Ramos will be attending Angelo State University, where she plans to major in Pre-Nursing. With a heart set on helping others, Keelie’s ultimate goal is to become a nurse, settle down, and build a fulfilling career dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others. Throughout her time at PCHS, Keelie found immense support and guidance from Mrs. Robison, who had the greatest positive impact on her. “Mrs. Robison has been there for me whenever I needed someone to listen and talk to. Not only has she helped guide me through the college process, but she has also helped me through many personal challenges,” Keelie shares. This relationship has deeply influenced her, providing both emotional and practical support as she navigates the transitions of life. One of Keelie’s fondest high school memories was being part of the cross country/track team. “I have so many fun memories and will always cherish the relationships we all had,” she says. The camaraderie and teamwork formed during these years have shaped some of the most meaningful experiences of her high school journey. As she moves on to the next chapter, Keelie will miss her close-knit group of friends the most. “I will miss my little group of friends that I have known since elementary school and being able to see them every day,” she reflects. Keelie wants her legacy to be one of impact and service. “I want my legacy to be making a difference in people’s lives—not only as a nurse but by giving back to whatever community I settle into,” she says. Keelie’s favorite quote, "Your future is only as good as the work you put into it," serves as a reminder that hard work and dedication are essential to creating the future she envisions.
🎓Alex Davila will be attending West Texas A&M University to major in Business, with big plans for what’s to come after college. “I would like to travel the world and experience new things in different countries,” Alex shares. Throughout his time at PCHS, Alex credits the people around him as having the greatest positive impact on his experience. “Having the right people throughout my years at PCHS is what made it a great experience,” he reflects. The support and connections he built with those around him have been integral to his success and growth during high school. One of Alex’s best memories from high school was being part of the basketball team with his friends. “Being in basketball with the boys and creating memories with them was one of the best things that happened during high school,” he says. As graduation approaches, Alex admits that he will miss the feeling of being a high school student. “I will miss feeling like a high school student because I will be stepping into the real world and getting a taste of it,” he says. Looking ahead, Alex wants his legacy to be defined by the concept of "Heart over height". He hopes to be remembered for his perseverance, determination, and strength of character, showing that it’s not about how tall you are, but how much heart you put into everything you do. Alex’s favorite quote, “Close the windows that hurt you, no matter how beautiful the view is,” serves as a reminder to prioritize your well-being and not let anything hold you back from moving forward.
✨🎉With Keelie and Alex's determination, strong mindsets and goals for the future, they are sure to make a positive impact on the world around them.✨🎉

🌟🌟As graduation is quickly approaching, we would like to spotlight two of PCHS’s outstanding seniors.🌟🌟
🎓Davian Ramos plans to attend one of three universities—West Texas A&M (WT), Angelo State, or Tarleton State—to pursue a degree in Agriculture. Post college plans include either pursuing his dream of playing professional baseball at any level or becoming a game warden. When looking back on his high school experience, one person stands out as a key influence: Mr. Carthel, who was not only a great teacher but also a supportive mentor who kept him engaged throughout his high school years. "Mr. Carthel always kept me engaged, was very supportive, and he was my favorite teacher," Davian reflects. Davian's best high school experience was undoubtedly playing with his teammates and making it to the playoffs in baseball. "Going to playoffs with my friends in baseball" is a memory he’ll always cherish. However, as he prepares to leave high school behind, there are things he will miss. "I'm going to miss playing football on Friday nights, but more than that, I'm going to miss playing baseball," he shares. The friendships and the adrenaline of game days are what have shaped some of his most unforgettable moments. When asked about the legacy he hopes to leave behind, Davian states, "I want to be known as the kid who made it out of Plainview to play pro baseball or as the best game warden to ever live." A favorite quote that guides him is from Matthew 22:14: “For many are called, but few are chosen.” It’s a reminder that, while many people may have dreams, it takes hard work and dedication to turn them into reality.
🎓 Velia Ortiz plans to attend Texas Tech University, where she will major in Psychology. With her passion for helping others, she hopes to one day work as a Trauma Therapist, guiding people through some of the toughest times in their lives. Looking back on her time at PCHS, Velia credits her parents as the greatest positive influence in her life. "My parents have shown me that even when things get hard, I need to keep going," she says. "I can't let people who don’t work hard stop me from doing what I want to do." When asked about her best memory in high school, Velia recalls the special moments she shared with friends on band trips. "I was with all of my friends, and those trips were unforgettable," she reflects. These experiences created bonds and memories that will last a lifetime. As graduation draws near, Velia will miss her best friends, Aby and Jaryd, the most. "They’ve been there for me through everything," she shares. When it comes to the legacy she wants to leave behind, Velia hopes to be remembered for staying true to herself: "I never let anyone change who I was." Her strength, resilience, and commitment to her values have guided her through high school and will continue to shape the path ahead. One of her favorite quotes by Tina Lifford speaks to her belief in self-empowerment: "When you know yourself you are empowered. When you accept yourself, you are invincible." It’s a powerful reminder that knowing and accepting oneself is the key to overcoming any challenge.
🎉🎉As Davian and Velia embark on the next chapter of their lives, we can’t wait to see the incredible things they will accomplish in the future.🎉🎉
