Plainview ISD is committed to supporting the well-being of our students and families. We understand that challenges with mental health can arise, and we want to ensure you are aware of the resources available. We are excited to invite you to a free webinar this April titled "Guiding Your Child through Depression." This informative session is offered in English and Spanish and will provide guidance on recognizing signs of anxiety and have a live Q&A segment where parents can engage directly with a licensed clinician to ask questions and seek additional advice. In addition to this webinar, our district offers multiple sources of support for families. If you would like more information, please do not hesitate to reach out to your campus counselor. Thank you for partnering with us to prioritize mental health and emotional well-being within our community. 🚑💉 HOSA Students Explore Healthcare Careers at SPC Reese Center! 🏥🔬 On Tuesday, our Plainview High School HOSA students had an incredible hands-on experience at SPC Reese Center, where they explored various healthcare programs and learned about future career opportunities! 👏 Students had the chance to engage in interactive sessions with professionals and gain insight into fields such as: ✅ Emergency Medical Services (EMS) 🚑 ✅ Nursing 💉 ✅ Surgical Technology 🏥 ✅ Respiratory Therapy 🫁 ✅ Radiologic Technology 📸 ✅ Simulation Lab Training 🎓 It was an exciting and educational day filled with hands-on learning! Thank you to SPC Reese Center for hosting our students and providing such an amazing experience.

🔵🔴 Plainview High School Shines at BPA State Leadership Conference! 🔴🔵 Last week, 13 talented PHS students traveled to Dallas, TX, to compete at the Business Professionals of America (BPA) State Leadership Conference! 🌟 These students showcased their skills, competed in various events, attended leadership sessions, and even earned prestigious awards! 🎉 Congratulations to Marian Dominguez for placing 9th in Advanced Spreadsheet and earning the title of first alternate for the National Leadership Conference in Orlando, FL, this May! 👏 Special recognition to Dennise Adame, Jaqueline Perez, Jamie Brito, and Elsa Sanchez for receiving their Statesman Torch Award in honor of their leadership and community involvement.
