
This is a reminder for all eighth grade students interested in the collegiate program that applications are due on Friday, January 24. Late applications will not be accepted.

PJHS Parents and Students, this is a reminder that student identification badges must be worn by students during the school day. Lost badges can be replaced for five dollars. Students not wearing a badge may be assigned after school detention.

PJHS ACE parents and students:
We will have our monthly Family engagement night tomorrow, January 16 at 6:00 PM at Plainview Junior High. Come and join us as we work to create family goals and vision boards for the new year. We hope to see you all there.


Pajama bottoms, onesies, and house shoes and slippers will not be allowed at PJHS beginning January 7. If students show up to school wearing pajama-related attire, they will be expected to have a change of clothes with them or brought to them. Disciplinary action may be taken against students who do not comply.

Plainview Junior High students will take final exams on December 19 and 20. Students will not be allowed to take exams early. Parents, please note that the school will not accept lunch deliveries on these days. The school will provide lunch for students, or they may bring a sack lunch.

There will be a Title Three Meeting at the PJH cafeteria on December 10 at 5:30 PM. We will discuss LPAC, TELPAS, and programs used to promote language acquistion on campus.



PJHS Parents and guardians, we will have an early release on Friday, November 22. Classes at junior high will dismiss at 12:42 PM.


PJHS will have a Thanksgiving Meal on Monday, November 18. Cost is $7.00 for visitors, and free for students on campus. You are welcome to come and enjoy a delicious meal with your student during his or her lunch period!

The Texas Tech Health Sciences Center will be presenting information to our students about facts related to vaping, the danger that comes with it, and strategies and resources available to those dealing with this issue. The presentation will take place on Friday, October 25. A form is being sent home today. If you do not wish for your child to participate, please sign and return the form.


Plainview Junior High will allow mums and garters at school tomorrow for homecoming . However, we will not be accepting deliveries.

Parents of PJHS ACE students, we invite you to our family engagement event this Monday, September 16, from 6-7 pm in the PJHS cafteria. We will have fun and fellowship making mini pinatas as a family. We hope to see you there!
