If you plan on attending tonight's junior high football game, the game will take place at the high school practice field. Home side parking will be north of the field in the student parking lot between the band hall and the gym. Visitor parking will be outside the tennis facility on the east side of the field. Game times are 5:30 (B team) and 6:45 (A team).

ACE Parents and Students,
During the fall semester, the before and after school program runs from 7:00AM-8:00 AM and again from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM Monday-Friday. Enrollment is still open for the program, but space is limited. For students wanting to be in the program, the ACE supervisor will contact parents for confirmation of your student enrollment for the semester. More information on ACE is available on the PJHS Facebook page. We are excited for this year of free programming where your student can enjoy a fun twist on education.

Parents and Guardians, students were issed an ID badge when they picked up their schedules before school started. Students are required to wear their badge while at school. This is a safety issue, as we need to know who is in the buidling. Failure to wear a badge will result in an after-school detention placement. After school detention runs from 3:50-4:30. Parents will be contacted by a teacher or administrator prior to detention being assigned. This information was conveyed to students during their class orientation last week. If students lose their badge, there is a five dollar replacement fee.

CLARIFICATION: Students who have fully registered but did not come pick up a schedule at the junior high may come to school tomorrow at regular time. If you have not registered or are unsure if you are registered, please wait until 9:15 before coming to school. Seventh graders will still need to have proof of current vaccinations. Chromebooks will still be held until Wednesday.
Parents and Guardians, if you were unable to come to the junior high for schedule pickup on Monday, please wait until 9:15 on Tuesday, August 13, to come register and pick up your schedule. Chromebooks for those students will be handed out on Wednesday, August 14. Seventh graders need to have proof of vaccine records before entering the building.
Seventh Grade Orientation will take place Wednesday, July 31st at PJHS. Orientation for girls will be from 8:30-10:00, and oreintation for boys will be from 1:30-3:00.
Plainview Jr. High will release tomorrow, Thursday, May 23, at 12:42 PM. The school will have lunch available for students prior to releasing for summer break. There will also be separate awards ceremonies for seventh and eighth grade students. Students receiving an award got a letter at school to take home.
Attention all ACE parents and students: We would like to invite you to join us for our last familiy engagement event this Thursday at 6:00 PM in the Jr. High cafeteria. Following this meeting, PJHS Bands will be in concert beginning at 5:30 in the main gym.

Students will be provided a sack lunch by the school. Additionally, Plainview Junior High will not accept visitors or lunch deliveries through May 1.

The ACE program will host a family engagement and community advisory meeting at 6:00 PM in the PJHS cafeteria. All students and parents are welcome to attend, even if your child is not currently enrolled in the ACE program.
The 8th Grade Social Studies STAAR test will take place tomorrow. Eighth grade students, please, do not bring your backpack or outside drinks and snacks to school. Due to the testing environment, PJHS will not accept lunch deliveries or visitors.
